  1. What would you do all day if you had to be the hidden child? Remember you can’t use anything that makes a noise. You can’t be outside or go in front of an uncovered window.
  2. What role did reading play in Luke’s knowledge of the outside world?

Personal Narrative: Timeline & Sketch a Memory

The children took the event they are describing for their Personal Narrative and created a timeline. See my example.

The event I am describing: Catching the ball from a Cardinals player for Mary.
Timeline:

  • Getting Tickets from my Uncle
  • Planning the day with my cousin Don
  • Meeting Don and his daughter at my sister’s house near the stadium
  • Driving to the stadium together to save on parking
  • Walking into the stadium
  • Finding our plush seats
  • Went to watch batting practice
  • Group of boys kept asking the players for a ball
  • Lady behind ask about the girl in white hat
  • Cardinal player is holding up ball pointing to Mary
  • Player tosses ball up to me
  • I catch it and hand it to Mary
  • I yell thanks to Randy Flores

Deutsche Bank Championship

Students will select three golfers from the list below. They will track their three golfers score’s for 4 rounds unless a golfer does NOT make the cut. You have to pay to play

In which sport does equipment cost the most? What would it cost to buy the equipment for all five sports? What is the average cost?

Choose three of the sports in the graph. If you have an allowance of $1.25 a day and do not spend any of it, how long would it take you to buy the equipment for those three sports?

Choose one sport. Make a list of the kinds of equipment you think are needed to play the sport. Use a catalog or make a trip to a store to find the actual cost of equipment and clothes for this sport. We will do this part in class tomorrow.
